An experience you will never forget
Most of us can not actually say we look forward to flying. Weeping infants, crowded seats, inflight entertainment that was broken, and desperate measures to protect your knees from the frontal recliner that was dreaded.
Singapore Airlines offers something only a tiny little better than that. It is an exclusive set of high-end comforts to supply “the notable few with their own haven of tranquility.” Whether loving on demand food from a private chef, reclining in a handstitched leather armchair, sleeping on a real mattress in a doublebed, or loving a host of other baller things, this is an once in a lifetime encounter.
A courageous soul made the flight
Self described “experience voyager” Derek Low cashed what must have been a ridiculous amount of miles to pay for the $23,000 ticket(!!!) from Singapore to NYC. Fortunately for us, he took pictures to record the whole procedure. He subsequently experienced a feeling few people can say we’ve: not needing to get a plane off.
Forget the regular waiting area
No more hunting for a seat or an exit with the remainder of the tired, huddled masses. Derek’s ticket got him access to “The Private Room,” where the staff greeted him by name.
There he enjoyed a three course meal which included lobster, quail eggs, and mutton satay
Upon boarding the airplane, Derek was escorted to his private suite
He assessed his environment, finding a Salvator Ferragamo comforts kit (with full size cologne!), Givenchy blankets and slippers, and Bose headset. He was subsequently poured a glass of Dom Perignon, as the double decker airplane softly took off.
Time for another meal
Caviar, lobster fennel salad, duck foie gras, vanilla bavarois and other elaborate foods we have never heard
Fast rest? Let your bed is made by the flight attendants. Then it is time for Bed Angels.
Bummed you only slept away thousands of dollars worth of flight? More food!
Derek’s used Singapore Airline’s “Book the Cook” service, which lets you preorder any meal you can envision. World class chefs prepare it and it is put on the airplane for you. Here Derek eats what seems to be a dessert made of flowers and various exotic meats.
9 courses and five glasses of Dom after, you will never need to leave
Next time a baby vomits up two rows and you can not fit your carry on under the seat, begin saving up for this Singapore Airlines ultra-exclusive encounter.
